Thank you for this word of encouragement.

Most of us I am sure can also say like you - "Some days I am ok with it and some days I hate it. I am sure there are many like me." It is a struggle but with GOD helping us we CAN make it. Like you said we have a JOB to do. - "For those of you who are confortable with vitiligo, encourage others that are not." Just know that it will take TIME......and those of you who are not there yet in your acceptance, Cawanda has encouraged us today.- "just be patient with yourself and please try not to let the best years of your life pass you by in mourning for having vitiligo."

I am personally encouraged to know that my uniqueness profounds my beauty! I am also encouraged to know that there are great people out there like Cawanda and so many others that stand with me in this VIT walk through life. Let us touch others, let them see our inside and NOT focus so much on the outside. I am truly blessed by what God is doing in and through people with VIT, let's CHANGE our world..let's make a difference

Hello my Vitty Friends!! I posted this today on vitilgofriends.org. Valarie asked me to come here and post as well. I hope you enjoy my thoughts today. Be blessed and encouraged in your Vitilgo. Remember be of good courage!!

I know that our acceptance of vitiligo has us divided however, let us be undivided in that we all have this disease/illness/disorder.

I personally am in between in my acceptance. Some days I am ok with it and some days I hate it. I am sure there are many like me. For those of you who are confortable with vitiligo, encourage others that are not. For those of you who are totally not there yet in your acceptance, it will come - just be patient with yourself. But please try not to let the best years of your life pass you by in mourning for having vitiligo.

A friend told me the other day your uniqueness profounds your beauty! I totally agree. Michael Jackson touched so many people because he spoke a universal language. A language so many people understood. I hope that we can one day speak that same universal language about vitiligo. It is unique and so are you and I. In this uniqueness, we must live!!!

Have a blessed day, your Vit Friend, Cawanda

Hi Carol,

It was so good chatting with you the other day. I hope that you had a chance to really visit our webpages and that you will make plans to join us in July. We are also on FACEBOOK if you search for vitfriends, where there is also more PHOTOS.

It is amazing how all of our stories are so simular. Yours sound just like mine. The key is learning to really LOVE ourselves in the skin that God has given to us. Blessings to you and hope that we can talk again.

Your FRIEND,

Valarie

Hi Sophia,

It is so sad when people say that they were teased for something that they had NO control over. I love the descriptive words that you use - WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL. You really make my heart sing, I am so proud of you. When we gather in Boston this summer our theme is "See me for who I am" and that is just what we are saying as we try hard to show our inside and not focus on the outside.

Bless you!

WELCOME!!!!

So do you have Vitiligo? Please share you story with us.

Hi! My name is Sophia and i have had Vitiligo since i can remember. When i was little i used to get teased about it. Things are way better now and no one says anything and i feel wonderful and beautiful! To me I always thought looks aren't all that matters. It's what's inside! People have relized that ,and i am just so darn happy! It makes me very sad when i hear about someone who suffers with people constantly telling them rude things. I'm 11years-old.
