Hi Wanakee,

So great that you can stop by for a visit. Thanks for sharing this information with all of us here at VITFriend. We are so looking forward to when you can come to Boston for a visit with our group and share your story with us in person. May God Bless your work!

For all of those who suffer with vitiligo, I have had this disease since I was a young child. I have a book coming out in a few weeks that shares my story, as well as my 31 years of research, in my quest to heal myself of vitiligo. I hope that you will read the book and give me some feedback.

So great that you can stop by for a visit. I have checked out vitiligo friends.org, and just a note of information - our VITFriends have been established since 2004, which is longer than they have, but they are possibly more financially sound than we are. Please feel free to support each group and visit as often as you can. God Bless!

Hi Marialuisa
Yes, it does get much easier as we learned to live with vitiligo. I am happy to hear that your friends are kind to you and that they never make fun of me or ask questions. Just continue to be yourself. Like the GOOD in you be seen by everyine as they focus on the outside. Yes, folks with vitiligo need to know that we are not alone, there are places like this website hoping to be a support and a friend. I am happy that I did not get vitiligo when I was younger, because I do not know if I could handle it. I am PROUD of you. Stay strong and beautiful! You have a friend in me, GOD bless you and your family...Happy Thanksgiving!

I have had vitiligo since I was three years old. Now im 16 going on 17 and life has gotten much easier as i learned to live with it. People that I chill with never make fun of me or ask questions. I think it's because if you are out going and don't care about what other pple say then there is nothing to worry about. To everyone with vitiligo, you are not alone I think I have been in your place once or twice and trust me as you get older it wont be as hard as it was when you where younger. (:
